    IOAN POPOVICI-BĂNĂȚEANUL: IDENTITATE, NAȚIONAL, TRANSNAȚIONAL. IMAGOTIPURI ȘI IMAGINAR SOCIAL

    Living in the Banat county, which belonged to the Austro-Hungarian Empire, during a regime which seriously influenced the Banat Romanians’ status, Ioan Popovici wrote a prose where the relationship with the other is not only interesting, but also complicated. As a result, the frontiers between identity and national, on the one hand, nationalism and xenophoby, on the other hand, are often fragile. Starting from a biography characterized by uprootedness, exclusions and alienations, our approach aims to present the mechanisms which have led to the creation of the social imaginary in Ioan Popovici- Bănățeanul’s prose, caused by various geopolitical, cultural or mentality circumstances, constantly observed by the narrative discourse.

    SCRIITORUL ȘI PUTEREA: STRATEGII DE CONSTRUCȚIE A IDENTITĂȚII ÎN VOLUMUL DE PROZĂ DOCUMENTARĂ „EU ȘI LUMEA”, DE ALEXEI MARINAT

    Autoarea își propune abordarea identității personajului din volumul Eu și lumea de Alexei Marinat din perspectiva construirii și reconstruirii sinelui în raport cu Puterea totalitară, aducând în discuție și o potențială criză generată de dezacordul dintre identitatea impusă de Puterea politică și propriile valori. Va fi analizată relația dintre personajul de jurnal, implicit cel din fragmentele de proză documentară – ipostaze narative care se identifică cu A. Marinat și articulează traiectoria destinului uman și literar al scriitorului, și Puterea totalitară, reacțiile scriitorului în devenire la proiectul identitar impus de sistem și consecințele presiunii politice asupra profilului moral al acestuia. Astfel, studiul oferă o perspectivă amplă asupra semnificației Puterii, privită, pe de o parte, ca forță diabolică și, pe de altă parte, ca „rău necesar” care fortifică, involuntar, fundamentul identitar al personajului-scriitor, ceea ce oglindește un caz de rezistență politică în care puterea aparține, indubitabil, personajului-scriitor A. Marinat.

    „JURNALUL UNUI SCRIITOR (1972-2012)” DE NICOLAE ESINENCU: REPERE IDENTITARE ALE PERSONAJULUI DIARISTIC

    “A writer’s diary (1972-2012)” by Nicolae Esinencu represents an interesting case of (re)construction of the self and essential self-definition in relation to external (social, literary, political) and internal (crises, anguish, revelations) events. We will follow in the writing the key defining identity markers for the diary character, this narrative self par excellence, from the effort to relive the “first self” related to the symbol of the parental home and the emblematic figures of the parents in the first chapter of the diary, to the attempts of autoscopy and disclosure of the essential self that stems from a reflexive consciousness bent on understanding the world and preoccupied with the national drama (the struggle for the Romanian language, the Latin script, the exit from the administrative tutelage of the Moscow Writers’ Union). Besides these, we will also discover the internal dialogue, the inner turmoil in the later chapters, which configure a search for the essences of the writer in a conflicting relationship with time.
