    EXIGENȚE DE ORDIN AXIOLOGIC ALE EDUCAȚIE

    Education is the most important phenomenon of the socio-cultural life of society, its significance being the transmission of knowledge and life experience. Educating a valuable personality is the major purpose of education, which is achieved by transmitting and receiving values, by forming attitudes and beliefs of respecting values. The author analyzes various concepts and notes attributed to various perspectives on values, the specific values of education perceived both in defining the educational purposes and the educational content.

    EMOŢIE, SIMŢ SAU SENTIMENT ŞI ECHIVALENTELE LOR ÎN ENGLEZĂ ŞI RUSĂ

    For a long period of time linguists had different opinions concerning the study of the emotive function of the language. A part of them thought that the dominant function of the language is the cognitive one thus excluding the possibility of researching the emotional component of the language. In the late 70s of the previous century emotiology as the direction in linguistics began to appear. Many professors such as V. V. Shakhovsky, A. Wierzbicka, T. V. Larina dealt in the field of emotiology and studied the expression of emotions in cross-cultural communication. Some of them state that emotions are universal and can be identified in every country, others conclude that the lack of the term denoting a certain emotion in a certain language speaks about the fact that cultures differ emotionally. In this study we try to identify the terminology used in a research of this kind and clarify whether emotions are culturally dependent or not. The working languages are English, Romanian and Russian and their corresponding cultures – English, Moldovan and Russian.

    În prezentul articol este studiată relaţia dintre limbă şi cultură şi analizat locul actului traductiv în acest sistem. Se prezintă argumente în favoarea reprezentării actului traducerii drept demers de comunicare interculturală. Sunt punctate diferenţele dintre traducere şi localizare, termen lansat pepiaţa traducerilor specializate.

    A DIACHRONIC APPROACH OF INTERCULTURAL COMMUNICATION

    It is commonplace now to speak of “one world” and to refer broadly to the interdependence of nations and to the lack of self-sufficiency of even the world’s largest and richest countries. The growth in interest in studies of intercultural communication in recent years has led, on the one hand, to an increasing number of projects focusing on the examination on communication between speakers from different cultural backgrounds in various contexts and across different channels. On the other hand, a number of scholars have, at the theoretical level, reexamined the very basic notions of “language”, “culture”, and “inter-culture”, the main concept in studies of intercultural communication, from various perspectives. The contribution of this article represents this spectrum, beginning with theoretical background, moving on to exploring the interplay between intercultural communication and new technologies, and finally examining intercultural communication across different contexts.
