Positive transfer of similarities between languages accelerates learning. The intermediary language also assists in the semantic presentation of vocabulary, the explanation of grammatical structures, and the clarification of cultural aspects. At the initial stage, it is essential for managing the learning process and monitoring comprehension. The use of the intermediary language increases students’ motivation, improves material perception, and saves time. Its complete exclusion from the learning process may lower motivation and slow down progress.Item How a motivating environment fuels second language mastery [Articol](CEP USM, 2025) Nița, MarianaCreating a motivating environment is essential for thriving when learning a second language.
