Abstract

This article highlights the importance of communicative competence in the English language from the perspective of teaching and learning. This issue comes to challenge our generation through the linguistic and sociolinguistic pressure that is put by each institution as regards employment and communicative skills. A natural, accurate and fluent use of English is sought throughout the world. This skill leads to a successful career because being able to pick up useful hints that are passed on by our teachers, to adjust and apply the knowledge we received from our tutors to our necessities in different daily situations will help us to be a competent and professional employee. The only person who will find out and tackle about the ”rules of this game” will always be at an advantage.
