Item Dinamismul limbajului medical [Articol](CEP USM, 2025) Bulai, Mădălina RoxanaTechnological and scientific advancements directly influence vocabulary, the most dynamic and flexible component of language. These changes lead to the emergence of new terms, the semantic reinterpretation of existing words, and their adaptation in both general and specialized language. This paper analyzes medical discourse by identifying the functions and meanings of terms in various types of texts, examining specific semantic processes, and assessing the expressiveness of lexical units that have undergone terminologization. It also explores the interaction between medical language and other specialized fields. In other words, the enrichment of medical vocabulary is a complex process that involves both the assimilation of new terms and their correct usage. This dynamic influences professional communication and impacts both specialists and the general public.Item Poezia „Limba Noastră” de Alexei Mateevici în versiune rusă [Articol](CEP USM, 2025) Procopii, LiubaThe translation of artistic works, especially poetry, has always caused many difficulties and even contradictions. The difficulties are of different nature: factual, cultural, semantic, syntactic, expressive, etc. Contradictory are the ways of translating the poetic work, that eternal dilemma of the translator: accuracy or expressiveness, truth or metaphor, precision or beauty? In the present commentary we are going to analyse how a work by Alexei Mateevici is translated into a Russian poetic, but also civic version, of undeniable importance for our people, the poem “Our Language” by Alexei Mateevici in Russian.Item Metafora terminologică: concept și denominație [Articol](CEP USM, 2025) Mincu, Eugenia; Macovei, DorinaEugen Wüster, the „father of modern terminology,” promotes clarity in the concept → denomination relationship. To avoid ambiguity, the terminologist advocates compliance with linguistic norms and the unification of usage contexts. If a concept is assigned multiple meanings, their clarification is recommended depending on the domain. Wüster argues for standardization and biunivocity in the relationship between concept and term. The terminologist Gabriel Otman defines the conceptual relationship as a set of semantic connections between concepts. This perspective helps define, delimit, and validate concepts within a multidisciplinary logical framework. At present, conceptual relationships are classified into two models: hierarchical and non-hierarchical. This article focuses on the terminological metaphor from the perspective of the concept → denomination relationship, a perspective that facilitates the transfer of meaning across domains by adapting an existing term to designate a new specialized concept.Item TIMPUL – O COMPONENTĂ A IMAGINARULUI POETIC A LUI EMIL LOTEANU(CEP USM, 2024-10-25) Singh, Satvir – CorImaginarul poetic este o dimensiune esențială a literaturii, reprezentând un ansamblu de imagini, simboluri și structuri metaforice prin care poetul își exprimă percepția asupra lumii și existenței. Mai mult decât un simplu instrument estetic, imaginarul poetic este o experiență subiectivă, prin care autorul transcende realitatea imediată și creează un univers personal. Criticii literari, precum Gilbert Durand și Jean-Jacques Wunenburger, evidențiază rolul imaginarului ca spațiu al posibilităților infinite, unde se întâlnesc realul și irealul, conștientul și inconștientul. Emil Loteanu se remarcă prin complexitatea și originalitatea imaginilor sale poetice, care combină elemente tangibile cu noțiuni abstracte. Natura este frecvent prezentă în poezia sa, simbolizând atât stări emoționale, cât și teme universale, precum timpul sau destinul. Loteanu explorează timpul ca dimensiune dublă – atât cadru necesar al existenței, cât și inamic care erodează frumusețea și valoarea. Prin condensarea expresivă și utilizarea simbolurilor, poetul creează o poezie dinamică, plină de profunzime emoțională și intelectuală, care provoacă cititorul să contemple propria relație cu timpul și mortalitatea. Imaginarul său poetic devine astfel o punte între experiențele personale și semnificațiile universale, consolidându-i unicitatea în peisajul literar.Item INTERPRETĂRI ALE DISCURSULUI SPECIALIZAT. LIMBAJUL MEDICAL(Editura USM, 2024) Smochină (Bulai), Mădălina RoxanaThe evolution of society, the current technical and scientific progress is also noticeable in the vocabulary, which is considered the flexible part of the language and the most obvious for external influences. In other words, progress has led to the emergence of new terms, the semantic reinterpretation of terms from common and specialist language. This paper investigates some of the main ideas of medical discourse. We aim to describe the functions and meanings of terminological units in different types of texts, to characterize the procedures and mechanisms of these semantic processes in medical language, to analyze the degree of expressiveness of lexical units of determinization and the interaction between medical language and other specialized branches. Thus, vocabulary improvement is a broad and difficult process in which the acquisition of new words and their correct use involves a fact of life of each person.Item FUNCȚIA FIGURATIVĂ A ANALOGIEI ÎN DENUMIRILE DE PÂINE(Editura USM, 2024) Zbanț, LudmilaThe research on the issue of bread names falls within the area of socio-cultural realities and reflects the way in which the cognitive and linguistic picture of the world has been created in Romanian and French-speaking societies. As a staple food of any society, bread has undergone numerous evolutions both in material and imaginary terms, as each ethnoculture has distinguished itself in its own way in the recipe for the preparation of this food, but also in the way of naming bread. This is in direct relation to national traditions and customs or in accordance with certain daily activities of the bearers of the language and culture concerned. In the article below we have tried to analyse the more specific trends that have emerged in the Romanian and French cultures in relation to the subject announced in the title.Item METAFORA RĂZBOIULUI ÎN DISCURSUL POLITIC(CEP USM, 2018) Pleșca, AnaMetafora ocupă un loc central între strategiile verbale pe care politica le folosește pentru a-şi realiza obiectivele. Există o anumită tipologie a acestei figuri de stil utilizate în discursul politic, tipologie de care depind valențele expresive ale acesteia. În articol ne-am propus să examinăm mecanismele de generare a metaforei războiului. Totodată, vom determina și vom analiza metafore care fac parte atât din câmpul lexical, cât și din cel semantic al uneia dintre cele mai exploatate figuri de stil în discursul politic. Vom demonstra că utilizarea frecventă a anumitor construcții axate pe metafora războiului a generat apariția formulelor-stereotip.Item POLARITATEA SEMANTICĂ A TERMENILOR METAFORICI(CEP USM, 2021) Rotari, NataliaThe present study presents an analysis of the polarity process on the meaning of some terms of the Romanian language lexicon, is the purpose of determining the new semantic values of the terms in the composition of metaphorical constructions obtained as a result of combining abstract and concrete terms. Abstract terms, from the composition of linguistic metaphor, around concrete terms, are characterized by the ability to change their meaning, sometimes being in total opposition to the primary meaning. The metamorphosis of the elements of metaphor presents a clear proof of the fact that some concepts are part of dual semantic fields, and the conceptual interaction between two domains are not different conditioned to create metaphorical innovations.Item METAFORA CULORII ÎN DISCURSUL POLITIC(CEP USM, 2019) Pleșca, AnaCulorile sunt suportul gândirii simbolice. În vocabularul politic apar nume de culori care alcătuiesc metafore și prin care sunt simbolizate, tradițional, programe şi orientări (de ex., „roșu” este culoarea partidului comunist și a celui socialist, „negru” este culoarea fascismului, „verde” se folosește pentru desemnarea partidelor/ grupurilor ecologiste din diferite țări, „albastru” e culoarea preferată a europenilor etc.). Deși, în culturile lumii, culorile au sensuri diferite, în politica internațională, cu mici excepții, culorile își păstrează aceeași valoare simbolică. În politica actuală a Republicii Moldova culorile ce vizează partidele politice și apar frecvent în discursurile reprezentanților acestora sunt, în special, roșu, albastru și verde, semnificația cărora o vom analiza în acest articol.Item CONOTAȚIILE METAFOREI CONCEPTUALE SPORTIVE ÎN DISCURSUL POLITIC(CEP USM, 2021) Pleșca, AnaMetafora este figura de stil de nivel lexico-semantic și constă în folosirea unui termen impropriu, dar plastic și sugestiv, în locul termenului propriu. Deși discursul politic, ca orice alt discurs instituțional în general, este mai puțin liber decât vorbirea cotidiană, politicienii fac uz de un spectru impunător de imagini axate pe metafore. În acest studiu vom analiza metaforele provenite din domeniul sportiv, ținând cont de context, căci fără context metafora nu poate fi înțeleasă. În dezvoltarea acestei teme se vor examina următoarele aspecte: a) apartenenţa termenilor metaforici la terminologia sportivă ca domeniu-sursă; b) gruparea semantică unitară a metaforelor în jurul lexemului de bază şi c) frecvenţa metaforelor conceptuale sportive în discursul politic. În urma analizei structurilor metaforice axate pe terminologia sportivă, am ajuns la concluzia că acestea sunt foarte productive și că ajută la îndeplinirea principalelor funcții ale discursului politic actual: concizie, expresivitate și persuasiune.
