    În acest articol punem în discuţie problema simbolismului fonetic şi rolul pe care îl are în sporirea expresivităţii mesajului. Considerăm oportună abordarea acestui subiect, deoarece simbolismul sunetelor reprezintă una dintre cele mai vechi şi mai controversate probleme ale limbajului uman şi, în special, al fonosemanticii. Este recunoscut unanim faptul că sunetul este dotat cu anumite valori de natură acustică, care, favorizate de limbajul poetic, creează emotivitate, placticitate, expresivitate.

    SCURTĂ PRIVIRE ASUPRA EVOLUȚIEI VOCALEI Ĕ LATIN

    În studiile de fonetică istorică a limbii române au fost stabilite o serie de reguli acceptate, în linii mari, de toți cei care s-au ocupat de evoluția sistemului vocalic. Dispariția categoriei de durată e considerată unanim cea mai importantă modificare a acestui sistem. Pierderea opoziției dintre vocala lungă și cea scurtă constituie o restruc- turare a sistemului vocalic și reprezintă o cheie pentru soluționarea unui șir întreg de pro bleme din fonetica istorică. În lucrarea de față vom analiza cateva aspecte ale evoluției vocalei ě (e scurt latin) și implicațiile pe care le-a avut această evoluție în structura fonetică a limbii române.

    ABREVIERILE ÎN LIMBAJUL ACTUAL

    This is a synthesis article. The main topic touched upon the abbreviations from all fields, the place and the role of abbreviations in linguistics. The purpose of the article is to highlight the importance of this field for linguists. We used different methods to analyze a selected material in linguistics and current research areas, principles and techniques are discussed. As a goal I proposed to include this topic for a deeper understanding, i also exposed the challanges and eventual perspective of the abbreviations in morden linguistics.

    TENDINŢE DE MODERNIZARE ÎN SISTEMUL ONOMASTIC ROMÂNESC

    The creation of the personal nomination with Romanian people is developed together with the process of Romanian language formation. The Romanian history of onomastics comprises many periods, starting with the medieval period (XI-XIV centuries). The modernization of the Romanian onomastic system begins from the XII century and continues till present. The dynamics of this process is determined by social conditions of the modern life to which the language and onomastics should adapt. Ways of new names entering into the language are various and are continuously improving through television, radio, internet-means which shorten the di stances and cancel the isolation.
