SCURTĂ PRIVIRE ASUPRA EVOLUȚIEI VOCALEI Ĕ LATIN

Abstract

În studiile de fonetică istorică a limbii române au fost stabilite o serie de reguli acceptate, în linii mari, de toți cei care s-au ocupat de evoluția sistemului vocalic. Dispariția categoriei de durată e considerată unanim cea mai importantă modificare a acestui sistem. Pierderea opoziției dintre vocala lungă și cea scurtă constituie o restruc- turare a sistemului vocalic și reprezintă o cheie pentru soluționarea unui șir întreg de pro bleme din fonetica istorică. În lucrarea de față vom analiza cateva aspecte ale evoluției vocalei ě (e scurt latin) și implicațiile pe care le-a avut această evoluție în structura fonetică a limbii române.A series of rules were set up in the studies of historical phonetics of the Romanian language that were broadly accepted by those who investigated the evolution of the vowel system. The disappearance of the category of duration is unanimously considered as the most important change of this system. The loss of the opposition between the long and the short vowels represents a restructuring of the vowel system and a key to solving a whole range of problems in historical phonetics. This paper analyses several aspects of the ě (short Latin e) vowel evolution and the impact of this evolution on the phonetic structure of the Romanian language.
