    INTERPRETĂRI ALE DISCURSULUI SPECIALIZAT. LIMBAJUL MEDICAL

    The evolution of society, the current technical and scientific progress is also noticeable in the vocabulary, which is considered the flexible part of the language and the most obvious for external influences. In other words, progress has led to the emergence of new terms, the semantic reinterpretation of terms from common and specialist language. This paper investigates some of the main ideas of medical discourse. We aim to describe the functions and meanings of terminological units in different types of texts, to characterize the procedures and mechanisms of these semantic processes in medical language, to analyze the degree of expressiveness of lexical units of determinization and the interaction between medical language and other specialized branches. Thus, vocabulary improvement is a broad and difficult process in which the acquisition of new words and their correct use involves a fact of life of each person.

    DELIMITĂRI CONCEPTUALE ALE TERMINOLOGIEI PUBLICITARE ECOLOGICE

    The contrastive-linguistic, intercultural and cognitive-typological analysis of the English and Romanian advertising ecological discourse, requires a clear delimitation, for operational purposes, of the meanings of terms related to advertising. This necessity is determined, first of all, by the lack of parallelism between the "inter-paronimic" terms (false friends of the translator), following how the English terms correlate and what common interferences they have. We suggest clarifying several such aspects both separately, as distinct linguistic situations, and as “internal” forms of each of the two languages, which is likely to convince the speakers of the need to understand and use the correct constructions and forms

    We start, in this article, from the idea that the discourse, produced within an act of communication, implies the reporting to a reference level and the reporting to a certain context of the statement that it is seen as a physical, temporal, social, cultural, psychological or cognitive space. After the designation by means of the language of an event, a state of affairs in reality, relative to spatial contextualisation of information presented in the speech, it is a level of organization referential information encoded in the structure of the statement (and speech). Level that we intend to analyze.

    METAFORELE CONCEPTUALE COMPUSE ÎN DISCURSUL IDENTITAR GERMAN DE DUPĂ 1989

    După anul 1989 identitatea germană a cunoscut o schimbare din toate punctele de vedere prin metamorfoze, păstrând în același timp drama abolirii barierei de separare între Berlinul Occidental și Republica Democrată Germană timp de aproape 28 de ani. Modificările care au survenit după evenimentul de cotitură în plan social, politic, economic, ca mod de viață, de gândire, sunt reflectate în discursurile prezidențiale (Richard von Weizsäcker (RW), Roman Herzog (RH), Johannes Rau (JR), Horst Köhler (HK), Christian Wulff (CW), Joachim Gauck(JG), discursurile respective fiind o formă de ideologie identitară care au marcat cursul istoric al țării date. Doctrinele politice și filosofia acestora au afectat profund evoluția gândirii și culturii naționale, având un impact puternic asupra dezvoltării ei. Prezentul articol se focusează pe identificarea metaforelor conceptuale în discursul identitar prezidențial (în număr total de 16), care formează identitatea metaforică. Identitatea fiind modul de manifestare al unui popor (comunități omenești), modul de a gândi, de a exista, este și cultura acestuia (cultura – comportament uman direcționat valoric). Vom cerceta modul de funcționare a identității lingvistice prin intermediul metaforelor conceptuale.

    PERSPECTIVE ASUPRA TIPOLOGIEI TEXTELOR

    The multidimensional character of text has generated an increased interest among linguists over the last decades. Text and textology have become important research directions and as a result, today we have text linguistics, another branch of general linguistics. Despite this, the multitude of contradictory opinions on text and textuality gives rise, in its turn, to yet another branch of text linguistics and exactly to text typology (classification). The present study, therefore, aims at investigating and presenting the existing criteria for text classification as well as the varied terminology used by various specialists in the field, such as Adam J. M., Biber D., Trosborg A., Werlich E., Hatim B. and Mason I., de Beaugrande D. and Dressler W., etc.

    CREATIVITATEA, SEMANTICITATEA ȘI ALTERITATEA APLICATE LA PROCESUL TRADUCERII ȘI ÎN CADRUL FORMĂRII TRADUCĂTORILOR

    Traducerea este o activitate creativă care stabilește relația dintre obiect, semn și interpretant și se bazează pe vaste cunoștințe în domeniul limbilor, a culturilor, psihologiei, legilor vieții ș.a. Dezvoltarea aptitudinilor de abordare creativă a traducerii ca activitate interculturală nu poate fi separată de conținutul semantic al discursului, în strânsă legătură cu realitatea extralingvistică. Destinatarul traducerii este cel care introduce în algoritmul întregului proces condiția respectării factorului alterității, adică scoate în prim-plan eterogeneitatea viziunilor lumii în limba-cultura sursă și limba-cultură țintă. Considerăm că întreg procesul de formare a viitorilor traducători profesioniști trebuie orientat spre educarea conștientizării semanticității limbii în comunicare, a interesului față de cunoașterea Celuilalt și a formării de atitudini creative și independente în alegerea strategiilor de traducere.

    ASPECTE DISCURSIV-PRAGMATICE ALE PLEDOARIEI ÎN ȘEDINȚA DE JUDECATĂ

    The present study is a discursive-pragmatic approach to pleadings. The aim of the article resides in analysing the legal discourse (pleadings) from the perspective of communicative behaviours and the possibilities of combinations that derive from the interaction of the sender’s choices and coercions. The pleading is a well structured discourse which is presented in an original manner with the purpose of obtaining a desired result – manipulation of the audience. Hence, we analysed the role of argumentation and persuasion in creating a pleading, the fundamental elements of the pleading and the lawyer’s skills in drafting this type of legal discourse. The ability to transpose legal rules into words capable to influence the receiver of the act of communication is proof of the fact that pleading is an art.

    EUPHEMISTIC LANGUAGE IN THE DIPLOMATIC DISCOURSE

    Language can be used to reduce differences or produce violence. It is rarely neutral and often shapes perception and behavior. The present communication is an attempt of studying the use of euphemisms in the diplomatic discourse, as a way of reaching agreement, which combines precision with ambiguity. The skill of finding formulations which avoid offence and are acceptable by both sides are often referred to as a “diplomatic” discourse. The explicit interchange of utterances might be sometimes embarrassing if we do not make use of metaphors or figures of speech. People have always tried to use less disturbing expressions instead of the hurtful ones. The diplomatic use of language is of major importance, since language is not a simple tool of communication or vehicle for transmission the thoughts, but very often mitigates the negative social phenomena. Therefore, the research that has been presented in this communication provided new opportunities, as well as challenges, for the study of euphemistic usage in the diplomatic discourse and its increasingly complex nature.

    MIJLOACE DE CONSTRUCȚIE A DISCURSULUI PAMFLETAR

    Discursul pamfletar se compune dintr-o serie de mijloace expresive, care generează semnificații și conduc la configurarea semnificației generale a mesajului. Ironia este elementul de bază al pamfletului, exteriorizând atitudinea autorului față de subiectul abordat și modelând atitudinea publicului. De asemenea, mărcile stilistice, ele- mentele oralității, figurile de stil, jocurile de cuvinte constituie mijloace de construcție a discursului pamfletar.
