Abstract
Translation of fiction is one of the most difficult tasks of modern translation studies. Especially when languages of different origin, structure, syntactic structure, and semantics are compared. This article discusses the translation of the story of the modern Russian writer Lyudmila Ulitskaya “Sonechka” into Romanian, the problems that arise and the translator’s successes.
