Abstract

English language textbooks in the Republic of Moldova can be effectively used in the context of curricular changes and the expanding use of artificial intelligence. It highlights the pedagogical criteria of an effective textbook and the role of external curricular coherence in foreign language teaching. Textbooks encourage oral communication methods and authentic interaction. Concrete examples of communicative activities at A2.2 level are presented, focusing on fluency, collaboration, and negotiation of meaning. Integrated thematic projects and eTwinning initiatives extend textbook content by providing real-life contexts for language use. Authentic online materials complement lessons, increasing student motivation and engagement.
