Abstract

The Hybrid International Scientific Conference “Dynamics of The Romance and GermanicLanguages: Trends and Innovations”, 8 edition is aimed at education specialists(university lectures, PhD students and all those interested in the field), especially at thosewho teach Romance and Germanic Languages, in order to share experience, identify specificneeds and improve the quality of teaching/research. The conference will focus on debatesgenerated by investigations of the vast field of Romance and Germanic Languages and willunite specialists in the field so that they could share experiences as well as individualresearch results with the purpose of professional development and that of the interuniversitycooperation. The event aims at an effective exchange of ideas on the teaching of Romanceand Germanic Languages, the development of communicative competences in the teachingand learning of Romance and Germanic Languages, students’ assessment and testing, thecertification of linguistic competences for Access to undergraduate, master’s and doctoraldegrees, the development of online courses and promoting a virtual learning environment.From the perspective of the multicultural context, which is increasingly becoming a realityof the present, we aim to encourage debates on the development of professionalcommunication skills in Romance and Germanic Languages, the way in which it focuses onhow foreign language proficiency impacts professional interactions and intercultural contact.
