De la vizual la verbal: unele aspecte ale comunicării narative în romanul Isabelei Allende“La casa de los espíritus” [Articol]

Abstract

This article addresses a very complex topic, due to its position at the confluence of several areas of scientific interest. The exploration of verbal resources, through which the visual perception is concretized within a literary text, creates a favorable ground for the fusion of elements that belong not only to the scope of the language and literature, but also to such research areas as exact sciences, reception psychology and, of course, painting. The reality, which, in fact, is singular, is shown to be multiple, taking into account the fact that each person looks at the world from his/her own point of view, i.e. from a specific perspective. In turn, visual perception is a complex process, as it consists not only in receiving an external stimulus, but also in interpreting it, or the latter differs from one individual to another. The novel “La casa de los espíritus” and the unmistakable way of the author Isabel Allende to create a world “impregnated” with magical realism illustrate this circular relationship as well as possible and exemplify it through an imposing succession of verbal means that reflect the visual perception in its entire complexity.
