Abstract

Given that translation is an important activity in nowadays globalized world, extralinguistic aspects of the translation are often overlooked due to the complexity of the topic. Though, its importance is especially relevant in terms of some recent linguistic hypotheses and theories, the most important in our case being the hypotheses of linguistic relativism which affirms language affects people’s perception of the world.
