Abstract

Being complex in structure and content, the modern Romanian novel should be promptly promoted into the Literature Curricula and taught in high school classes. The modern novel has been approached to such fields of imaginary as intimacy, inner reflection, social mysteries, and impressionist way of narration. In spite one of the main goals of contemporary education is to educate creative receptors, i.e. a high developed and complex thinking pupil / student, due to its treats, the modern novel is not so popular on the pages of didactic and methodical studies which serve as guides for high school teachers or university professors. If the authors of the methodologies avoided the problem of the modern novel, there would appear the risk of creating a "historical gap" in the cultural development both of high school graduates and students.
