The aim of this paper is to shed light on the moments of King Michael’s lifting and re-reprivation of his citizenship. The author has analyzed the terms diplomacy, as well as the documents of the communist authorities regarding the citizenship of king Michael. Only in 1997 the king received a Romanian passport, thus being acknowledged as a Romanian citizen.
