ASPECTE ALE RECEPTĂRII OPEREI LUI JAMES JOYCE ÎN ROMÂNIA

Abstract

Studiul urmărește evoluția receptării operei lui James Joyce în România interbelică prin racordarea discursului critic românesc la cel preponderent francofon, abordând aspectele textuale, culturale și literare. Sunt prezentate opiniile critice ale scriitorilor și cercetătorilor prin elucidarea inexactităților frecvente dar și a unor exegeze originale care au condiționat încercările inițiale de a înțelege și explica momentele-cheie ale operei joyceene.The study follows the evolution of the reception of James Joyce’s work in interwar Romania by connecting the Romanian critical discourse to the francophone one, by addressing the textual, cultural and literary aspects. It presents the critical opinions of writers and researchers by elucidating frequent inaccuracies and some original exegeses that conditioned initial at tempts to understand and explain key moments of the work of Joyce.
