Abstract

This article reflects the application of article 13 of the Hague Convention of the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction. The serious risk exception protects the child from domestic violence, in cases where the return to the state of habitual residence would have unbearable consequences for the physical, mental integrity or consequences that would otherwise affect the interests of the child.
