Abstract

The institutions of representation and intermediation appeared not only for the need to ensure and facilitate the negotiations and conclusion of contracts between people who are situated in different places, but also to compensate the lack of experience and knowledge, because we use the services of representatives and intermediaries also for the reason of realizing what we cannot do by ourselves. One of the areas where one can find elements of representations and intermediary is the activity of custom brokers. Within the framework of the present article, not only the particularities of custom broker’s activity, the legal nature of their relationships with their clients and third parties, but also the legal requirements of their authorization and activity, is undertaken. For all this, there are made references to the relevant doctrinaire opinions and legislative acts.
