    (CEP USM, 2024) Mănoiu, Adelina
The European Union's recently adopted paradigm, the resilience approach, centers its interactions with external partners, particularly its immediate neighbors, around societies and communities. As such, the EU has shifted its focus from state to society and from a general top-down to a bottom-up approach in order to improve its resilience and that of its neighbors. We argue that despite the willingness of the Republic of Moldova to be part of the EU, the society is not fully aware of the EU support regarding the nation.

ONE YEAR AFTER REFORM: EXPECTATIONS AND OUTCOMES OF HIGHER EDUCATION TRANSFORMATION IN THE REPUBLIC OF MOLDOVA
    (CEP USM, 2023) Cimpoieș, Dragoș
The article aims to evaluate the effects of Moldova’s higher education reform one year post-implementation, focusing on public university consolidation, international rankings, budget allocations, and student numbers, as well as alignment with EU practices. The study employs a mixed-methods approach, collecting data from institutional reports, government publications, and international databases. Key performance indicators and comparative analysis with EU countries are used for assessment. The research finds that the reform succeeded in streamlining the higher education sector but failed to improve international rankings or budget allocations.
