THE SEMANTIC NATURE OF FIXED EXPRESSIONS IN DIPLOMATIC LANGUAGE
    (CEP USM, 2024) Tărîță, Stella
This article delves into the intricate domain of diplomatic language, particularly focusing on the semantic characteristics of its fixed expressions. We examine the vital role these expressions play in ensuring clarity, consistency, and decorum in international relations, along with the challenges they pose in cross-cultural communication. This paper aims to explore the concept and the nature of fixed expressions, to define them in clear terms and to emphasize their main features and characteristics. By explicitly delimiting this concept, we aim to facilitate a deeper understanding of how words combine and interact to produce more complex lexical units, shedding light on their semantic nature and their pivotal role in shaping diplomatic discourse. The occurrence of different types of fixed expressions, rich in cultural and historical undertones, can both facilitate and complicate cross-cultural communication. Although the presence of an impressive number of research that addresses the phraseology of different languages, this linguistic phenomenon continually creates contradictory discussions, requiring some clarifications and research aspects regarding the definition and elucidation of the term fixed expression.

    IDIOMS TYPES AND THEIR CLASSIFICATION
    (Editura USM, 2024) Luca, Iulia
Deși există numeroase ghiduri și materiale de cercetare privind dificultățile de traducere în general, până în prezent s-a acordat puțină atenție dificultăților de traducere a expresiilor idiomatice. Acestea sunt caracteristice limbii engleze, dar precum traducerea are un rol primordial în prezent, este o mare nevoie de traducerea expresiilor idiomatice în alte limbi. Aşadar, prezentul articol este bazat pe studiul expresiilor idiomatice din perspective atât lingvistice, cât și de traducere.

HOUSEHOLD GOODS IDIDOMS IN ENGLISH AND THEIR EQUIVALENTS IN RUSSIAN
    (CEP USM, 2013) Pirina, Inna
The respective work aims at the linguistic study of household goods idioms and a qualitative and quantitative analysis in terms of the semantic, syntactical, structural, pragmatic and functional peculiarities. The novelty of this research is determined by the fact that little attention was paid to idioms containing household goods, especially to their Russian equivalents. The practical value of this work consists in the realization of five classifications of household goods idioms, their analysis, and the assembling of a dictionary of such idioms that would comprise 300 examples and contain definitions, Russian equivalents, and examples of usage in the context.
