    Dynamic evolution of legal terminology: processes of derivation, compounding and semantic change

    This article explores the dynamic nature of legal terminology, emphasizing that it evolves faster than the general lexicon due to extralinguistic factors and the need for legal systems to adapt to social changes. The creation of new legal terms is driven by the necessity to harmonize legislation with international standards, leading to continuous updates and transformations in legal language. Key word-building processes such as derivation, compounding, and calque are examined, highlighting their role in the development of specialized legal terms. The article also discusses semantic narrowing and broadening, which refine or expand legal concepts to enhance clarity and applicability in judicial contexts. Additionally, it addresses the phenomenon of reterminologizing and determinologizing, which reflects the dynamic interplay between specialized and general vocabulary in legal discourse.

    TERMINOLOGIA STOMATOLOGICĂ: STRUCTURĂ ȘI RAPORTURI SEMANTICE

    Terminologia medicinei dentare, fiind într-o continuă dezvoltare datorită progresului tehnologic și medical, reprezintă o adevărată provocare pentru medicii specialiști din acest domeniu și pentru traducători. Protetica, implantologia dentară, metodele și abordările noi pentru tratamentul dinților generează crearea de noi termeni pentru diverse inovații în stomatologie, extinzând astfel, într-un mod impresionant, limbajul specializat al medicinei dentare. Lucrarea dată are drept scop analiza principalelor procedee de formare a sistemului terminologic al stomatologiei ca parte integrantă a limbajului medical și relevarea anumitor particularități semantice ale acestei terminologii. Numărul considerabil de unități terminologice complexe confirmă productivitatea compunerii sintagmatice în procesul de formare a termenilor din domeniul medicinei dentare.

    LA PRODUCTIVITÉ DE LA SYNAPSIE DANS LA TERMINOLOGIE ODONTO-STOMATOLOGIQUE

    La synapsie, comme moyen de formation des mots nouveaux, est toujours actuelle dans le langage spécialisé. Sur son niveau diachronique, on peut dire que la synaptation est directement proportionnelle avec le temps, surtout dans les terminologies techniques. La langue médicale dispose d’un vocabulaire très riche et ses nombreuses terminologies rassemblent un nombre impressionnant de termes. La terminologie a beaucoup changé au fil des ans et le rythme de ce changement s’est accéléré aujourd’hui. Cette situation est de même valable p our le domaine de l’odonto-stomatologie. Le développement de la chirurgie buccale , les relations internationales entre les spécialistes, l’évolution des technologies dans le domaine de l’odonto-stomatologie se multiplient de maégalement la terminologie, dans ce contexte, la fonction de la synaptation dans le langage odonto-stomatologique est de créer des termes nouveaux pour adapter le vocabulaire. La forme d’un terme subit toujours des transformations, et la terminologie cherche à éliminer les ambiguïtés en intervenant avec la création des unités lexicales pour le domaine odonto-stomatologique. Donc, ainsi que les terminologues et les terminographes, les traducteurs ont toujours beaucoup de travail dans l’exploration, le traitement et la traduction des termes odonto-stomatologiques.
