Assessing the post-pandemic impact of on-line learning on translation students: insights from thrid-year undergraduates at Moldova State University
    (CEP USM, 2024) Sîtnic, Ina
This paper investigates the impact of online learning on translation students, focusing on the skills they developed and their adaptation process during the post-pandemic period. It contributes to the existing body of research in translator training by offering new insights into students’ experiences with online learning throughout the COVID-19 pandemic and its aftermath (R. Kasperė, 2021; E. Perez, S. Hodáková, 2021; M. Seresi, R. Eszenyi, E. Robin, 2021; N. Burkšaitienė, 2023). A questionnaire consisting of seventeen questions was administered to 15 third-year undergraduate students enrolled in the Translation and Interpreting programme at the Department of Translation, Interpretation, and Applied Linguistics, Moldova State University. The survey was designed to examine students’ experiences and attitudes during and after the pandemic, assess their satisfaction with the online teaching and learning process, and gather perspectives on the skills they acquired, along with feedback on the educational experience in the post-pandemic context

L’ENSEIGNEMENT DE LA TERMINOL OGIE SPÉCIALISÉE (TOURISME) DANS LA FORMATION DES TRADUCTEURS
    (CEP USM, 2014) Zbanț, Ludmila
Teaching terminology often requires being in a specific social and cultural environment. Even if tourism is an international activity, its terminology has sociocultural subtleties and requires additional skill to be translated correctly. The article analyses a number of international terms and their interference with local realities, which gives them special functions. Thus we give added value to the social character of the terms in question.
