    Nowadays, it is practically unanimously believed that it is impossible to learn a language without understanding the culture of the country (or countries) in which the language itself is spoken, as that would mean learning a language outside of its real context. In this regard, it is assumed that sociocultural aspects have always been present in language classes. This report shows different aspects about current cultural issues and proposes some activities and ideas on how to introduce diverse socio-cultural topics in the Spanish courses taking into consideration the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) and the Plan Curricular del Instituto Cervantes (PCIC).
