ASPECTE SOCIO-JURIDICE ALE SUICIDULUI CA FORMĂ PARTICULARĂ A VIOLENȚEI
    (CEP USM, 2024) Isac, Oxana
The author analyzes the socio-legal aspects of suicide as a particular form of violence, highlights its correlation with criminal forms of violence. A distinct attention is given to the crime of committing suicide, the shortcomings of the criminal law, which incriminates it, are specified and the proposals for its modification are appreciated. In the context of the fact that in the Republic of Moldova the number of women who report acts of violence by their current partner to the police is very small (8.4%), most of the time, women do not believe that reporting experiences of violence would offer them protection. According to victims, even when the violence is reported, the effects and bringing the perpetrator to justice and the punishments meted out are questionable. These stereotypes and prejudices reinforced by friends, relatives, representatives of various authorities, perpetuated by religious institutions, cause women to suffer in silence, increasing the risk of suicidal behavior.

În articol este efectuată analiza cercetărilor aplicate ale fenomenului „victimă” care atestă existența problemei în acest domeniu.
