Item THE DEMOCRATIC POTENTIAL OF THE TRADE UNIONS IN THE CONTEXT OF GLOBALIZATION (THE CASE OF THE REPUBLIC OF MOLDOVA)(CEP USM, 2023) Nicolaescu, IrinaThe goal of this research is to emphasize the role of which trade unions are played in implementation of democratic values. Their democratic potential is due in the inevitably role of trade union as economic and political actors, the relationship between these two roles is complex and contradictory, and the priority assigned to each varies depending on the country and the historical period in which it exists. As a result of the research, essential methodological criteria were identified, which allow to identify and analyze the particularities of the democratic potential of trade unions. An important role in this aspect is the multidisciplinary nature of research. In the research of the topic were used, first of all, the general scientific methods that facilitated the analysis and synthesis of the opinions of different scientists regarding the concept of trade union movement, democracy, democratic potential, democratic values.Item TRENDS IN THE ECONOMIC DIPLOMACY OF THE 21ST CENTURY(CEP USM, 2023) Mashal, LamaIn recent decades we have witnessed a considerable change in the power balance of global economic diplomacy. While in the past, the state undisputedly dominated the diplomatic arena, recently new actors from the field of civil society have entered this space, including supranational bodies and businesses and economic entrepreneurs, who have gained power and influence on decision-making processes. Nonetheless, these studies don't cover the whole subject and mostly pay attention to the economic and financial domains giving a lot less credit to the social and cultural components. In this study, our primary goal is to highlight the degree to which the phenomenon of globalization tends to alter the culture and cultural identity of existing societies. The analysis takes into account the context of increasing globalization and reveals main challenges these multiethnic states have to face in such conditions. Drawing parallels between two countries it was made an attempt to spot possible risks and prospects of the prevailing situation that can strongly influence ethnic policy making.Item TENDINŢELE PROCESULUI DE GLOBALIZARE ŞI IMPACTUL SĂU ASUPRA SISTEMULUI RELAŢIILOR INTERNAŢIONALE(CEP USM, 2016) Conacu, VasileIn the beginning of the XXI century, human society is marked by unprecedented changes, whose effects produce a series of upgrading the major cultural , social , political and general human values paradigms. On the one hand, we live in a world characterized by dynamism, but on the other hand, by uncertainty, of course if we look realistically at our social life. The 1990 was the end of a historical cycle, with the fall of the Berlin Wall and the fall of the communist regimes in Eastern Europe.An unprecedented year of transformations followed. It modified the architecture of the international system: the dissolution of the Soviet Union, the affirmation of the USA as the main superpower on the planet, the events from the 11th of September 2001, the global economic crisis which started in 2008. The configuration of a multipolar world takes place through the extension of power and authority of some global actors, such as: states, international organizations, corporations, and the factor of cooperation between the old pillars of power and the new emerging powers represent the new challenge of the moment. In other words, we have assisted a true imbalance of power, characterized by the monopoly of global domination, which was accomplished by one single superpower: the USA. In this context, the problem of international domination has to be analyzed by taking into account political, economic, social and cultural perspectives. The increasing development of the global economy during the last two decades is the main argument in this regard, which makes us analyze which the main tendencies are and what their impact on international relation is.Item FENOMENUL TERORISMULUI – OBIECT ŞI FACTOR AL COLABORĂRII INTERNAŢIONALE A SERVICIILOR SPECIALE, REFLECŢII PENTRU REPUBLICA MOLDOVA(CEP USM, 2016) Busuncian, TatianaThe article examines the fight against terrorism as one of the tasks and directionsof any Intelligence service. The globalization of terrorism imposes to states new common and strong needs for security and defense policy. International cooperation between Intelligences services is one of the most powerful tools in fighting terrorism. The survival and smooth running of things depends on the ability of Intelligence services to combat contemporary terrorism. A strategic objective is to promote the process of integration of our country in the European Union, being convinced that joining the European Union will provide new guarantees of stability and will enhance the security of the Republic of Moldova. In terms of new global transformations,terrorist actscan be prevented and combated only through effective cooperation of modern Intelligence services able to solve problems, to collect and process information, including useful adequate scientific, technological, military, economic and political one. Preventing and combating terrorism is one of the tasks and directions of activity of any Intelligence service/intelligence community.Item SEMNIFICAȚII PARADIGMATICE ALE RELAȚIEI GLOBALIZARE – TRANSFORMARE DEMOCRATICĂ(CEP USM, 2017) Saca, VictorIn the present article are examined the key aspects of the present democratic transformations in the context of the global and national factors. There are analyzed the paradigms of globalization and transition and the democratic transformation, the value correlation including the typological one too between these two paradigms. In this context, the authors emphasize the systemic capacities of influence of the globalization upon the democratic transformations, as well as the reverse influences, meaning the respective transformations upon the globalization. Much of the article is dedicated to the relation among the global and national factors in the conditions of the sociopolitical transformation both in the former communistic and soviet countries. Each of the mentioned factors has its own peculiarities regarding their place and role in the relations and present sociopolitical transitions system. The role of these factors is determined not only by the character and the possibilities to initiate the relations of transformation, but also by the mutual connections in order to maintain and develop these relations continuously.Item ORGANIZAȚIA NAȚIUNILOR UNITE: PERCEPȚII ASUPRA OBIECTIVELOR PRIVIND PROCESELE DE REFORMĂ A ORGANIZAȚIEI(CEP USM, 2019) Stejaru, Selena; Budurina-Goreacii, CarolinaEvoluția Organizației Națiunilor Unite fiind un proces perma nent de adaptare la noi responsabilități, constrângeri și raporturi de forță și influență între membrii săi, reforma acesteia a fost și ea o preocupare constantă în interiorul sistemului și în afara acestuia. Prezentă pe toate continentele și în toate te mele de rezonanță globală, O rganizația a fost expusă continuu atitudinii critice și monitorizării publice. Prin urmare, analiza diverselor etape ale existenței sale și a scenarii lor de reformă se regăsește atăt în cercetările efectuate că către mediul a cademic, în propunerile statelor membre, cât și în programe le elaborate de Secretariat. Astfel, în acest articol ne vom referi la modificările ansamblului de forțe ce determină necesitatea reformei, care sunt în aceeași măsură și resurse motivaționale și operaționale ale schimbării.La fel, vom reliefa opiniile cercetătorilor în domeniu privind impactul acestei schimbări profunde asupra profilului unei organizații interstatale create după principiul suveranității naționale. Reforma sistemului ONU ar trebu i să privească acele orientări și evoluții instituționale care să-i permită o dezbatere democratică, în care strategiile de dezvoltare să se raporteze și la respectarea dreptului și normelor de echitate inter-naționale.
