Abstract

In the present study, we set out to examine the practice of deductive-inductive teaching of FFE grammar. Given the advantages of both approaches: deductive - rapid understanding of how grammatical mechanisms work, and inductive - active discovery, they continue to represent the choice of FFE method authors. But an approach that integrates the two could better meet the needs of heterogeneous classroom learners and the educational goals of learner-centeredness and active teaching techniques.
