Abstract

The purpose of the research is to identify the significance of the gift in the context of globalization in Moldova. Theoretical value of the study is to highlight the positive aspects of the exchange of gifts, systematic approaches to empirical observations made by anthropologists. Applicative value of the research is to outline ways to maintain the habit of giving by emphasizing the symbolic aspects of exchanging gifts, arguing their effectiveness in society, needs and perceptions contemporary society.
