DREPTUL COPILULUI LA O FAMILIE - PRIORITATE NAȚIONALĂ

Abstract

The article analyses the current challenges of the child protection system, the importance of collaborative skills between the specialists of institutions focused on child protection in the deinstitutionalization process, mandated to ensure social protection for each child in the system and ensure their right to a family. Both the structure and the activity of institutions focused on child protection are constantly changing and adapting to new social challenges. The application of some principles that will contribute to the efficiency of the functioning of public institutions, through effective internal and external communication, can ensure success and the achievement of objectives at the highest level. The forms of protection such as Foster Family or Family-Type Children's Home are considered almost immediate opportunities for the deinstitutionalization of placed children, while the guardianship authorities have the mission of identifying them in the cases of all children who cannot be reintegrated into their families of origin, to diversify/expand them imperatively, - especially in localities with an increased number of children placed in the residential service, - and to ensure their financing.
