TERMINOLOGIA ÎN DOMENIUL TURISMULUI. ISTORIC ȘI APLICATIVITATE

Abstract

Turismul ca fenomen economic şi social nu are o istorie foarte lungă. Începutul acestuia se regăseşte în jurul secolului al XVIII-lea. De-a lungul deceniilor care au urmat, turismul a evoluat într-o adevărată industrie, impunânduse cu o dezvoltare spectaculoasă în epoca contemporană şi devenind una din ramurile profitabile ale economiei internaţionale. Ca subramură a economiei, turismul, definit ca fiind un fenomen socio-economic, este industria creată pentru obţinerea unor satisfacţii generate de nevoia umană de cunoaştere, recreere şi recuperare. Pornind de la faptul că orice fenomen îşi indică proba de durabilitate şi prin pătrunderea sa în limbă, ţinem să amintim turismul, îşi creează propriul său limbaj, propriul lexic şi e lesne de înţeles că terminologia care abordează turismul la ora actuală este foarte diversă şi foarte extensivă. Trebuie să menţionăm aici că terminologia turismului în limba română actuală presupune o evoluţie treptată în plan istoric, consemnându-se apariţia şi modificările de concepte şi de termeni, în strânsă legătură cu dinamica evoluţiei acestei activităţi. Un termen folosit la un moment dat se modifică, actualizându-se şi dezvoltându-se, determinat de caracteristicile de reprezentativitate ale momentului dat. În această idee, facem încercarea de a prezenta câteva aspecte istorice în evoluţia terminologiei turismului.

Starting from the fact that any phenomenon indicates its durability through its penetration into the language, we would like to mention that tourism, creates its own language, its own vocabulary and it is easy to understand that terminology addressing tourism today is very diverse and extensive. We should mention here that the tourism terminology in the current Romanian language involves a gradual evolution historically, being registered the emergence and changes in concepts and terms, in connection with the dynamic evolution of this activity. A term used at a time changes, updating and developing it is determined by the characteristics of representativeness of time. With this in mind, we attempt to present some historical aspects in the development of tourism terminology.
