Abstract

As a result, coordination compounds of Cu(II), Co(III), Ni(II), Zn(II), and Mn(III) using the ligands N-(2,4-dimethylphenyl)-, N-(3,4-dimethylphenyl)- and N-(2,5-dimethylphenyl) salicylaldehyde thiosemicarbazones. The metal quantitative analysis and magneto-chemical research have been carried out in order to define the composition of the 19 synthesized compounds. Magnetochimice research showed that cobalt complex is +3 oxidation degree The ligand is coordinated in a tridentate way by means of N, S and O donor atoms, and generates a strong field of octahedral symmetry. Nickel(II) complexed with HL1, HL2, HL3, the magnetic moment is different from zero, thus, suggesting an octahedral structure of these complexes.
