NEW TRENDS IN TEACHING MARKET-ORIENTED FOREIGN LANGUAGES FOR SPECIFIC PURPOSES IN EDUCATION: INTERNATIONAL SCIENTIFIC CONFERENCE HYBRID, APRIL 19, 2024

Abstract

The International Conference “New Trends in Teaching Market-Oriented ForeignLanguages for Specific Purposes in Education”, VIIth Edition is aimed at educationspecialists (university lectures, PhD students and all those interested in the field), especiallyat those who teach FLPS (business, engineering, medicine, agronomy, law, biology andpedology, etc), in order to share experience, identify specific needs and improve the qualityof teaching/research. The conference will focus on debates generated by investigations of thevast field of FLPS and will unite specialists in the field so that they could share experiencesas well as individual research results with the purpose of professional development and thatof the interuniversity cooperation. The event aims at an effective exchange of ideas on theteaching of FLPS, the development of communicative competences in the teaching andlearning of FLPS, students’ assessment and testing, the certification of linguisticcompetences for Access to undergraduate, master’s and doctoral degrees, the development ofon-line courses and promoting a virtual learning environment. From the perspective of themulticultural context, which is increasingly becoming a reality of the present, we aim toencourage debates on the development of professional communication skills in FLPS, theway in which it relates to the labor market and its impact on the professional interaction, butalso on the intercultural contacts in general.
