Traducerea literară: între creativitate (libertate) și „trădare” – o abordare macro și micro textuală [Articol]

Abstract

Binomul traducere liberă vs traducere literală constituie din cele mai vechi timpuri un subiect de dezbateri practice și teoretice. Noțiunea de fidelitate în traducere a fost și continuă să rămână în miezul acestor dezbateri, acumulând noi argumente teoretice. Totuși, în traducerea textului literar pare să domine abordarea care privilegiază libertatea alegerii traducătorului. Este clar că această libertate oferă un spațiu deschis pentru creativitatea traducătorului, care se manifestă atât în demersul macro, cât și micro textual în procesul de stabilire a echivalentelor de traducere. În articol ne propunem examinarea efectelor comunicative ale interferențelor posibile între ambele demersuri în procesul traducerii textelor literare. The binary opposition between free translation and literal translation has, since antiquity, constituted a subject of both practical and theoretical debate. The notion of fidelity in translation still prevails at the core of these debates and accumulates new theoretical arguments. Nevertheless, in the translation of literary texts, there appears to be a prevailing approach that privileges the translator’s freedom of choice. Obviously, such freedom creates an open space for translator’s creativity, which manifests itself at both macro and micro textual levels in the process of establishing translational equivalents. The present study aims to analyze the communicative effects of possible interferences between these two approaches in the translation of literary texts.
