TERMINOLOGIA IT – DE LA POLISEMIE LA ENANTIOSEMIE

Abstract

Orice terminologie reprezintă o sumă de termeni ce aparțin unui subsistem lingvistic, acești termeni caracterizându-se prin univocitate, non-ambiguitate și relații lexical-semantice proprii. În realitate însă, aceste rigori sunt neglijate deseori, ceea ce determină pătrunderea în sistemul terminologic a unor fenomene semantice care nu-i sunt proprii, inclusiv a polisemiei și chiar a enantiosemiei. Asemenea abateri se constată nu doar în sistemele cu un grad sporit de specializare, care deservesc un cerc restrâns de utilizatori, dar ating și sfere globale, aplicate pe larg și, aparent, bine reglementate, cum e terminologia informatică. În cele ce urmează vom discuta unele manifestări ale polisemiei și enantiosemiei în sfera terminologiei tehnologiilor informaționale, analizând comportamentul unor termeni informatici atât din perspectiva relației lor cu limba română, cât și în raport cu terminologiile din alte domenii.

Any terminology represents a sum of terms that belong to a linguistic subsystem, these terms being characterized by univocity, non-ambiguity and their own lexical-semantic relations. In reality, however, these rigors are often neglected, which causes the penetration into the terminological system of some semantic phenomena that are not its own, including polysemy and even enantiosemy. Such deviations are found not only in systems with an increased degree of specialization, which serve a narrow circle of users, but also reach global spheres, widely applied and apparently well regulated, such as computer terminology. In the following we will discuss some manifestations of polysemy and enantiosemy in the field of information technology terminology, analyzing the behavior of some IT terms both from the perspective of their relationship with the Romanian language and in relation to terminologies from other fields.
