Abstract

The crime is a fundamental category of criminal law as a science but also a legal institution of criminal law as a branch of law. The crime also presents opportunities for legal and doctrinal definition, both of which are extremely important, but from a doctrinal point of view, the approaches are very varied. The victimological perspective on crime is especially important because it allows the identification of the necessary measures to prevent victimization and crimes. The purpose of this research is to show that victimization is one of the most important aspects of crime and can be identified with it. At the same time, we will demonstrate that the victim can be perceived as an individual entity but also as a collective entity. From this perspective, a person can be victimized, but also a state, a social group, etc. Both categories of victims have specific victimological characteristics. These must be studied and used to prevent victimization.
