Abstract
The article analyzes the text from a linguistic and didactic perspective as well as the stages of working with the text within the German language lesson, as a foreign language. The development of communication skills in the German language lesson is possible through text and work based on it. The development speaking skills is successful when the text is chosen correctly and the tasks based on it are logically selected and programmed.
