Abstract

This article explores the role of state institutions in the Republic of Moldova in ensuring the rights of foreigners, particularly those seeking international protection. Based on practical experience from legal assistance provided at the borders and in collaboration with relevant authorities, the analysis identifies systemic gaps and formulates recommendations to strengthen procedural guarantees and human rights compliance. The paper incorporates anonymized jurisprudential examples and recent statistical data (as of 2024) to illustrate both the progress and challenges in this area.
