ARTA ROMANESCĂ A LUI PAUL GOMA: GROTESCUL RABELAISIAN, RĂZVRĂTIREA AVANGARDISTĂ ȘI LUDICUL POSTMODERNIST

Abstract

This article refers to the romanian art of Paul Goma. We consider that what makes Paul Goma’s art specific is the natural complexity with which he melts in the crucible of the romanian the traditions of the european novel, the bessarabian folklore, the quality of witnessing history and the dialogical interweaving of renaissance, avant-garde and postmodernist aesthetics. The original and irreducible unity of the system of artistic elaboration of the romanian universe and of the literary forms of Paul Goma’s novels is due to a fine sense of carnivalesque. It is the carnivalesque that makes polyphony and dialogic strategies possible, which integrates Rabelais’s grotesque comedy, avant-garde rebellion and postmodernist playfulness, but without ever freezing in any of them.

Considerăm că ceea ce face specificul artei lui Paul Goma este complexitatea firească cu care scriitorul topește în creuzetul romanescului tradițiile romanului european, folclorul basarabean, calitatea de martor al istoriei și împletirea dialogică a esteticilor renascentistă, avangardistă și postmodernistă. Unitatea originală și ireductibilă a sistemului de elaborare artistică a universului romanesc și a formelor literare ale romanelor lui Paul Goma se datorează unui fin simț al carnavalescului. Anume carnavalescul face posibile polifonia și strategiile dialogice, care integrează comicul grotesc al lui Rabelais, răzvrătirea avangardistă și ludicul postmodernist, însă fără a îngheța niciodată în vreuna din ele.
