Abstract
This article deals with an important topic in social relations, which is
identified by the concept of persuasion. It is examined from the perspective of political
communication in relation to the categories of influence and manipulation. The
particularities of political communication within social relations are examined, through the
lens of the motivation to access power and maintain it. Persuasion and manipulation are
considered important tools in influencing the electorate, very close categories, but with
specific nuances of operation. In our view, persuasion is a communication tool with a
positive impact on society from various perspectives, not just political ones.
