| dc.description.abstract | Dentistry is a rather new branch of medical science. It is constantly evolving and changing to best suit a patient’s needs. New technologies, methods and approaches to teeth treatment and prosthetics impose numerous challenges to generating new terminology. This paper focuses on the development of dental care terminology, analysing the issue of term formation patterns and the main categories of terms. The striking number of complex terminological units allows us to conclude that the process of syntagmatic composition is notably productive in the terminology of this medical field. | en |
