TENDINŢE DE MODERNIZARE ÎN SISTEMUL ONOMASTIC ROMÂNESC

Abstract

The creation of the personal nomination with Romanian people is developed together with the process of Romanian language formation. The Romanian history of onomastics comprises many periods, starting with the medieval period (XI-XIV centuries). The modernization of the Romanian onomastic system begins from the XII century and continues till present. The dynamics of this process is determined by social conditions of the modern life to which the language and onomastics should adapt. Ways of new names entering into the language are various and are continuously improving through television, radio, internet-means which shorten the di stances and cancel the isolation.
