Abstract
This work focuses on discovering what narrative and linguistic methods and resources can be used to obtain a defined literary elocution. We try to extract textual characteristics from a narrative by connecting concepts of narratology with other branches of philology. Focusing on different theoretical bases, we try to highlight the narrative, stylistic and linguistic complexity of the novel “La Regenta” by Leopoldo Alas (Clarín).
