Abstract

Modernity and the avant-garde, in the sense we attribute to it today, has been a long historical process, due to an accumulation of political, social, economic and religious factors. „Modern”means break of the past, refreshment, deviation from the axis of existing values, the desire to amaze, to manifest. The modernity goes hand in hand with science, with the new, with technique and technology.
