Süskind's Story “The Pigeon” is devoted to the study of the role of gastronomic themes (motives) in the artistic space of postmodern prose. It analyzes in detail the ideological and symbolic function of gastronomic motifs and meals in the work of P. Süskind. The article traces the obvious ideological antithesis between the images of the protagonist of the story and the Parisian vagabond, which is carried out through their gastronomic choice. | |
