| dc.description.abstract | The goal of this article is to shed light on the power of conceptual metaphors and to emphasise their importance for the political discourse and peculiarities of their translation. Although metaphors have traditionally been regarded as a stylistic device, they are deeply rooted in our conceptual system, influencing the way we perceive, think, and act in a range of situations.
