PERSONALITATEA LUI ALBERT ŁASKI ÎN ISTORIOGRAFIA POLONEZĂ

Abstract

This article tells about the appreciation of the personality of the magnate Albert Łaski in Polish historiography. Polish historians have created over time, under the influence of the Polish political context, the image of the magnate as an adventurer whose purpose in political action was to solve his financial problems. Even if the given image was fought by some historians, the cliche of an adventurer is found in the appreciations of the historiographical environment until now. We come to systematize Polish historiographical visions of Łaski and also emphasize the need for a reconsideration of the analysis of the magnate's correspondence with the Polish court, as well as the use of archive materials, to present the real image of the biography and activity
