Abstract

The article analyzes the role of the professional parental care service in ensuring the well-being of children in risk situations in Ungheni district, emphasizing the institutionalized mechanisms of intervention. The article presents the legal acts that promote the service’s regulatory norms, as well as the results of empirical research conducted through sociological interviews with different categories of organizers and beneficiaries of the service. The article contributes to the analysis of the factors that influence the success of professional parental care services and to the identification of aspects that can be created to more effectively support children and families in risk situations.
