Abstract

Starting from the theoretical arguments of approaching psychomotor capabilities as a fundamental observable behavioral attribute, to achieve an acceptable level of performance and to demonstrate the formative effects in practice - we set out to research the emergence of psychomotor products and the possibility of evaluating their products/parameters at the stage of initiation of the initial training of 7-8 year old gymnasts. Psychomotor competence must be understood as an educational purpose that indicates the degree of development of the student’s motor abilities to perform the physical exercise technically correctly (expressive execution, economy, result, etc.).The research tasks are: - establishing the appropriate methods, procedures and means for the development of psychomotor capacities; - the development of psychomotor capacities with the help of the specific means of rhythmic gymnastics; - comparing and interpreting the results obtained. To carry out the research tasks, the following scientific methods were used: theoretical analysis and generalization of specialized literature data; study and generalization of documents on planning, recording and control in sports training: pedagogical observation; test method; tabular method; the pedagogical experiment; the statistical-mathematical method of processing and interpreting the recorded data.This work aims to bring out as much as possible what is particular and specific in the development of psychomotor capabilities at training lessons, at the initial stage of training, as well as the methods and means of its development. In carrying out the research, it was assumed that the application of an effective methodology for the development of psychomotor capacities, based on specific elements, will ensure the raising of the level of training of young gymnasts at the initial stage. In order to achieve the proposed goal, we applied the specific means for the development of psychomotor qualities, principles and motor skills of the experimental group that are necessary for the practice of rhythmic gymnastics at a high level.
