CONSOLIDAREA IDENTITĂŢII EUROPENE PRIN EDUCAŢIE ŞI CULTURĂ

Abstract

Ideea de identitate europeană revine din ce în ce mai frecvent în discursurile politice şi în mass media. Mai mult, se construiesc şi se finanţează programe atât la nivel regional, cât şi la nivel european, pentru a construi o identitate europeană, care să îmbine în mod armonios identităţile naţionale ale statelor membre. Îndeosebi astăzi se pune accent pe consolidarea identității europene prin educaţie şi cultură. Subiectul acesta a devenit prioritar pe ordinea de zi a Uniunii Europene, din 2017, când Comisia Europeană a prezentat comunicarea, către Parlamentul European, Consiliu, Comitetul Economic şi social european şi Comitetul Regiunilor cu titlul sugestiv Consolidarea identității europene prin educație și cultură, care reprezintă contribuția Comisiei Europene la reuniunea liderilor din 17 noiembrie de la Göteborg. În acest studiu se va efectua o analiză despre importanţa acestui document şi acţiunile care au urmat şi, îndeosebi, urmează să deruleze în UE şi în imediata vecinătate.The idea of European identity returns more and more frequ ently in political speeches and in the mass media. Moreover, programs are built and financed both at the regional and at the European level, in order to build a European identity, which harmoniously combines the national identities of the member states. Especially today, the emphasis is on stregthening the European identity through education and culture. This subject became a priority on the agenda of the European Union, since 2017, when the European Commission presented the communication to the European Parliament, the Council, the European Economic and Social Committee and the Committee of the Regions with the suggestive title Consolidation of European identity through education and culture, which represents the European Commission’s contribution to the leaders’ meeting on 17 November in Gothenburg. In this study, an analysis will be made about the importance of this document and the actions that followed and, especially, are to take place in the EU and in the immediate vicinity.
