Abstract
Interesul naţional reprezintă un element-cheie în politica externă a unui stat, ce reflectă aspiraţiile poporului său de a ocupa în cadrul comunităţii mondiale locul care îi corespunde maximal posibil tradiţiilor sale cultural-istorice şi spirituale, asigurându-i realizarea deplină a potenţialului său. Însă, cu cât pare uşor de înţeles la prima vedere acest termen, cu atât de dificil e de a asimila complexitatea sensului de interes naţional, care a fost supus dezbaterilor politice şi discursurilor academice. Diversitatea abordărilor ştiinţifice a adus un important aport în desfăşurarea investigaţiilor vis-à-vis de interesul naţional, care diferă atât sub aspectul curentului ideologic, cât şi al mediului de desfăşurare a procesului de formulare şi afirmare a acestuia. Istoriografia occidentală se axează în special pe dimensiunea definirii şi conceperii interesului naţional al statelor, pe când istoriografia autohtonă se referă în mare parte la dimensiunea de funcţionare şi eficientizare a interesului naţional al Republicii Moldova în politica sa externă.
National interest represents a key-element in the foreign policy of any state. It reflects the aspirations of its people to secure a place in the global community, which fits it to the greatest extent according to its highest potential to its cultural-historic and spiritual traditions. At first glance it might look easy to understand this term, b ut itis more difficult to assimilate the sense of national interest, which was debated and discussed in the academic environment. The wide range of scientific approaches contributed to the research regarding national interest, which differs from an ideological point of view, but also from the environment where its creation and affirmation takes place. Western historiography tends to focus itself specifically on the definition and concept dimensions of the state’s national interest, whereas the local historiography refers to the functioning and efficiency dimensions of Republic of Moldova’s national interest in its foreign policy.
