Abstract
The trajectory from a classic to a modern newsroom is ongoing. This happens despite the
technologization of work and the transformation of journalistic content in relation to the demands
of the media market. The present review highlights several aspects of the integrated work
process in a medium-sized institution and through which it briefly explains the implications of
the team of journalists in a newsroom, which has the mission in the context of digitalization to
deliver informational content for several platforms of the entity of the press of which I am a part.
Also, we will focus on the organization of editorial work and what is the role of media department
managers in order to coagulate the team’s efforts by strengthening the product they are working
for and highlighting the capabilities and skills of the journalist. From this point of view, we will
approach the phenomenon of flat editorial management to the changes that take place in the work
process in departments/editions/directions. However, this can only happen if the emphasis is also
placed on the development of strategies and the culture of operation of the structures of a media
institution at different levels and between different employees of the media entities.
